Pokémonism connects species, moves, abilities, items and game versions with practical tools: team coverage, damage comparisons, move checks, GO calculations and Pocket deck building. Our strategy guides explain the assumptions behind those tools with worked examples.

Pokémonism is maintained by Stone Baldwin. It is an unofficial fan project, unaffiliated with Nintendo, Creatures, GAME FREAK or The Pokémon Company. Pokémon characters and artwork belong to their respective rights holders.

Who maintains Pokémonism

Stone Baldwin maintains Pokémonism's code, game-data imports and publishing workflow. This is a fan project: he is responsible for keeping its tools working, checking source changes and handling corrections sent through the contact page.

Guides use the Pokémonism byline because AI assists with writing and development. The editorial policy explains how sources, calculations and corrections are handled.

Where the data comes from

  • PokéAPI supplies main-series species, forms, stats, type relations, learnsets and reference data.
  • PogoAPI supplies community-maintained Pokémon GO stats, moves and evolution requirements. Event feeds are attributed to their publishers where displayed.
  • The community Pocket database supplies sets and card catalogues; TCGdex supplies card rules.
  • Smogon and Pokémon Showdown supply ladder usage statistics. These describe the named Showdown format and source month, not the official in-game ranked ladder.
  • News headlines link to the original publisher.

Thanks to the community projects that make these references possible. Source links appear alongside their data.

Keeping the site up to date

Game data updates automatically after source checks. Update history and database update reports show recent changes.

New releases and rule changes can take time to appear. Use the contact page to report anything missing or incorrect.

Publishing and support

Guides include worked examples and links to the relevant tools. AI assists with writing and development. Read the editorial policy.
