How we write, source and update Pokémonism.

Updated September 29, 2026

Our guides

Our guides answer practical questions about Pokémon with worked examples, comparisons and links to the tools used.

Guides are published under the Pokémonism byline with AI assistance disclosed. Calculated examples state the game rules and assumptions they use.

Sources and dates

Game rules and announcements should link to the publisher or the underlying dataset. Community sources are labeled as community sources. Every guide names its scope; different games, generations and formats can use different rules.

Articles keep their original publication dates. Corrections that change advice or calculations receive a dated note. Usage statistics show the month they cover.

Automatic updates

Scheduled checks update game data and publish summaries when records change. These summaries cover our database; official game patches are linked separately.

News links lead to the original announcements. Changes to guides and rule explanations require review.

Corrections and accountability

Use Contact & corrections to send a page URL, the game or format, the disputed claim and a source or reproducible example. Confirmed corrections update the relevant record or guide. A public correction note explains a material change to advice or calculations.

Community contributions are distinct from maintained editorial content and may be moderated. Advertising is labeled and separated from tools and navigation. We do not sell rankings or accept payment to quietly change recommendations.
