Johto

The Johto region has 55 explorable locations with wild Pokémon — routes, caves, towns, forests and water areas. The most Pokémon-rich are Johto Safari Zone (152 species), Route 47 (48 species), Mt. Silver (41 species). Each location links to its full encounter list with methods, level ranges and spawn rates.

You can encounter 266 different wild Pokémon across the Johto region. Open any location to see exactly which Pokémon appear there and how to catch them in each game.

Johto is the setting of Generation 2 of the Pokémon series. Home of the Burned and Bell Towers and their guardians Ho-Oh and Lugia — the only region that lets you walk back into Kanto after the credits.
