The proven TCG Pocket deck archetypes — what each one does, the cards that carry it, and how to build your own version.
Hand-curated · reviewed July 6, 2026 · not tournament dataWhat this is: Hand-curated from community consensus and our own card database. No tournament usage data is included because we don't have a verifiable source for it. Curated around the game's foundational archetypes — the decks that defined TCG Pocket from launch onward. Newer sets shift the meta; treat this as a library of proven cores, not a live ranking. For competitive results, check tournament coverage sites and the in-game rankings.
Serperior's Jungle Totem makes every Grass energy count twice, and Celebi ex's Powerful Bloom flips one coin per energy at 50 a head — so four attached energy means eight flips, up to 400 damage on a hot roll (around 200 on average). Swingy, but enough to close most games when it spikes.
Decks are exactly 20 cards with at most two copies of any card name — consistency is everything, so run 2 of anything you must see.
The Energy Zone generates energy each turn from the types you pick at deck creation. One type keeps it reliable; two types buys power at the cost of consistency.
Most decks run 6–8 trainer cards. Draw and disruption decide close games.
Assemble any of these archetypes card-by-card and share it with one link.
