A direct successor to Colosseum, Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness returns to Orre five years later. Cipher has resurfaced with a new, more powerful breed of Shadow Pokémon — led by the legendary Shadow Lugia, codenamed XD001. As young trainer Michael, you wield an upgraded Snag Machine and the Purification Chamber to rescue them all.

Arrange regular Pokémon around a Shadow Pokémon in the chamber's nine sets — the better the arrangement's tempo, the faster the Shadow Pokémon's heart reopens.

Michael starts with an Eevee you can evolve into any of its five forms available at the time — and there are 83 Shadow Pokémon to snag and purify, including several you couldn't legitimately get anywhere else.
